For anyone taking the cholesterol-lowering drug Crestor, there is good news: the FDA has approved generic versions, which will lower the cost to patients dramatically. Crestor now has a retail price around $260 a month. With multiple generics now coming onto the market, the price could eventually drop as much as 80 to 90 percent.
